Emergency First Aid at Work Courses
EFAW training enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.
The 6-hour emergency first aid at work (EFAW) course covers
- Dealing with incidents
- Calling for help
- Treatment of the unconscious casualty
- CPR techniques
- Dealing with bleeding
- Contents of a first aid kit
- Medical emergencies.
Course covers the minimum emergency First Aid requirements as set out by the HSE. It will leave candidates confident in dealing with an emergency situation whilst awaiting the ambulance and give a basic understanding of the impact of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 upon the workplace.
The successful participants (which we expect will be everybody!) will receive an "Emergency First Aid at Work" certificate, accredited Active Aid, who are HSE registered.
Course Duration & Cost
This is a one day course, with dates throughout the year.
The cost is £60 per person, with discounts available for group bookings. All public access courses take place in central Manchester.
Closed group bookings cost £500 for a group of up to twelve people, plus mileage from Greater Manchester. Available upon request at your workplace, club or suitable location.
