First Aid Courses from Rockmonkey Outdoor Pursuits

What's on offer?
Rockmonkey Outdoor Pursuits provide different first aid courses aimed at a whole range of different people and groups. For those wishing to pick up the basics, and have an idea of what to do if they ever come across someone who needs help, we offer the 4 hour Basic Life Support course. This covers the absolute essentials of emergency first aid, including how to deal with incidents, resuscitation skills, treating unconcious casualties and bleeding.
For those working in low risk workplaces, we offer the HSE recognised "Emergency First Aid at Work course". This course covers the minimum emergency First Aid requirements as set out by the HSE. An Appointed Person for the workplace in first aid legislation terms is someone who is responsible for keeping the first aid kit stocked, and for ensuring that an ambulance is called if needed in an emergency situation. It will leave candidates confident in dealing with an emergency situation whilst awaiting the ambulance and give a basic understanding of the impact of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 upon the workplace. /p>
Our Aquatic First Aid courses cover the same content as the Emergency First Aid at Work course but with additional elements which cover more outdoor scenarios. This course is especially relevant for canoeists, kayakers, fishing enthusiasts, or indeed anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.
