Meet the staff

From left to right: Chris Buckley, Will Sheaff, Tom Stroud, Chris Lomas & Ash Woods

Chris Buckley & Will Sheaff

Chris Buckley and Will Sheaff own, run and make the tea at Rockmonkey. Both are highly qualified and experienced coaches and usually provide the activities for clients. They have climbed and kayaked extensively in most of Europe and also travelled to Africa and Canada in search of adventures.

Tom Stroud

Tom is often the man behind the logistics and fixing that go on at Rockmonkey. As well as working with us on some kayaking courses he can be relied upon to fix cars, hitch trailers and fix almost anything with whatever is lying around!

Chris Lomas

Chris Lomas joins the paddlesport coaching team; as well as being a highly experienced whitewater paddler and an Aspirant Level 5 coach he has competed at a top level in slalom, polo and wildwater racing. Chris is also national technical adviser to the Scout Association and organises both the BUCS (British Universities) Canoe Slalom and Wildwater races.

Ash Woods

Ash Woods is our company chef and logistics man! On our catered canoeing adventures he will always ensure the flasks are full and the camps are set up by the time you get off the water. His extensive catering experience means you are sure to have a tasty and filling hot meal waiting when you get off the water!

We also have an extensive team of freelance instructors who work with us from time to time. There isn't space to detail them all here but if you come on a course with us you'll probably meet some of them!
