Whitewater kayaking coaching

If you are looking to make the transition from flatwater paddling onto the moving stuff then the North of England or Scotland provides the perfect rivers. Our coaches all have extensive local knowledge of the best sections for high or low water conditions and experience of coaching and paddling across Europe.

For this course it's best to have your own kit (suitable boat, PFD, helmet, paddle, dry-top, warm clothes and footwear) although with enough advanced warning we can often help you hire some.

Under the guidance of our friendly instructors we will look at the fundamental techniques for kayaking on moving water. We will also look at identifying the features of whitewater rivers, how to use them to our advantage and also the warning signs of things to watch out for.

Course Duration & Cost

These are bespoke courses, so it's up to you! Costs start at £130 per day, for a group of up to three people.

Previous experience required: Happy to paddle on flatwater (forwards, backwards, turning etc..)
